Why Us?

I could talk until I'm blue in the face about why I love my business, the care I put into your order, the joy I get from designing, etc. But besides the fact I'm biased, you probably care more about what I can do for you! I don't blame you, your special event is very important to you, and you want to make the right decisions to make it perfect. :) So let's talk about why you should choose Blue Tulip Design for your invitations and paper goods.

When you purchase custom or customizable invites from a small designer, what you're really buying is much more than cardstock and pretty envelopes. You are purchasing the "Wow!" moment your guests will have when they open that pretty envelope and see your invitation. You are guaranteeing that their first impression of your wedding is special and unique, just like you.  When they see that you have chosen something they haven't seen before, something different and personal, it makes an impression on them that will reflect positively on you. :) And you'll probably hear about it from them directly; when they call, email or Facebook you to rave about your invites.

You can also feel good that you are supporting a small business. One small enough to know you by name, and have a personal investment in your order. When you order from me, you are not just a number whose information gets plugged blindly into a template; your cards printed off with thousands of others that day and shipped out the door.  My success is directly linked to your satisfaction; I'm not a nameless, faceless corporation who knows that if you don't choose them, there are a hundred brides behind you who will.

One last thing to consider is that notion that "it's just paper, people throw it away, who cares". I can't tell you that everyone who receives your invitation will cherish it and save it forever, although I wish they would. :) But do consider- your invite is one of the few things you purchase for your wedding that will outlast that dayThe flowers will fade and die. Your cake will be eaten. The venue rented to someone else. Your dress folded and thrown in a box in your closet preserved and ensconced in special packaging to be opened in 20 years. Your invite can be easily saved with your wedding pics or scrapbooked if that's your thing. Your mom and grandmother and close friends will save it. You may be one of those fortunate brides whose wedding is featured in a magazine, and you can brag about the invites. And you may be surprised to know how many bride-to-bes I meet who have a secret stash of wedding p*rn, with clippings of dresses, decor ideas and tablescapes and yes, saved invitations and programs. So with your order, you are also being placed on that future bride's list of people who did it well. :)

The main point you should take away from all of this is that your wedding is special, unique to you, and by choosing invitations from Blue Tulip Design you underscore that point.I doubt that in any of your planning, you have said to yourself "Everyone does it like that, so I want to do it exactly the same way!” Of course not, because you're not a sheep, a blind follower of trends. Though you are inspired by those who have gone before you, you add your own ideas and style to make it your own. And I would love to help. :)
